Additional Posts in Career Advice for Students
Hey there!
I am a Masters Student majoring in Machine Learning. I am in my first semester and I am kind leaning to explore Data Science as well. Could any Professional Data Scientists help me out on getting started? What skills do I focus on? What kind of projects should I have on my portfolio?
I have tried looking this info out in the internet but its all overwhelming. Hoping to get some honest guidance here!
What’s the culture like at FTI Consulting?
I have been reading a few articles talking about how FAANG isn’t as lavish as it used to be. My first question is if that is true? If it is true, my second question is what companies out there have the pay, benefits, and perks like FAANG? My last question is if it is as difficult to get into those companies? @EY2 I’ll be working under the Launch internship so I will be doing a little bit of everything.
Culture is really dependent on office location/size. The culture at OMW is probably much different than a small Midwest office. I’m working at a small Midwest office and the culture is great.
Being an intern was fun! Culturewise, I can probably tell you that is a work hard play hard environment. I think you will enjoy it! Congratulations!
Interning with what part of EY? Big firm
Hey! I interned there this past summer and honestly I had a great time. The people are really relaxed and they emphasize telling interns to always ask questions. Even if it’s rlly complex managers and Sr. managers are always open to help you learn. It’s a somewhat quick paced, my best advice is to be excited to learn and prepared to fail. I’d say the EY internship is 100% what you make of it. Best of luck!
