I accepted an offer mid Oct and just found out my new company opened a new role above me at the title I was asking for originally but was told I would move up when they were ready to build out the team. Working as a senior data analyst at startup clinical trial company in the NE. Have 6 years full time work experience in data analytics post graduate degree. With part time positions during and post undergrad + quantitative masters, more like 8-10 years. What is considered a good salary? What compensation range can i expect from Google ? How much do recruiters make at Google, just curious.

Has anyone at Google relocated from San Francisco to a lower cost of living city (Denver, Atlanta, Austin, Miami, etc.) ? If so, how much lower was your salary after readjustments?

A recruiter emailed me saying they saw I applied for a role as a referred candidate, and they are “sharing my resume with the recruiter supporting this role for further review.” Is this a good sign? I’m surprised a recruiter reached out about my application who isn’t the recruiter for the job. Trying to moderate my hope if it’s not actually that promising?

Once you’ve applied via referral link to a position, does it keep you in a referral pool or do you need to constantly get a new referral link if you apply to another role say 4 months later? Curious since they only last 30 days and i feel bad asking for a link a 3rd time now…..
