I just handed in my resignation after 10 years, and I’ve never felt more like a criminal. My manager didn't even ask why I was leaving. She DID ask if I could work one last weekend of overtime before my traitorous exit. I’m moving to a cushy device sales rep role with a 40% pay bump, but I still feel like I’m abandoning a sinking ship. Has anyone else felt this weird quitter’s shame even when moving toward a much better life?
