I just recently left big 4 in July to pursue a role at a fintech company. It seemed great during the interview but once I got here it was very unorganized, not clear which team I would support, etc. Long story short, I was told we would have a hybrid work schedule and we are now required to go in-office full time 5 days a week and there have been a ton of layoffs recently. Should I stick it out or look for something else even though I’ve only been here 2 months?

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?

I made it through the first 2 interviews and I think it went well. How long does it usually take to find out if you move on to the final interview round?

My work product is becoming worse and partners are noticing/commenting. I just hate the practice area so much that every time I am asked to do something I just get it done as quickly as possible and can’t be bothered to put in effort. With 13.5 Lpa currently i’m at 12 and made switch on march.
Though my current company is an mnc but not that big and no work pressure is there, amazing work life balance. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.
