Or talk to a recruiter? Loyalty isn't rewarded at MS as strongly as I expected it to be (especially evident from what I've witnessed in analyst round tables). No harm in talking to a recruiter to see what's out there (and let them do the legwork for you based on your salary requirements).
All in or base? I’m pretty tired of it as well.
See a career counselor/career coach, find a mentor, attend a networking event related to the industry you are interested in
I hear you - in a similar boat (same year as you). I still enjoy the work but often find it demeaning (depends on the team but some managers couldn't care less about my well being). Maybe try switching to another group or getting destaffed from the teams that make you feel that way. That's the route I'm going. Do you think that would be possible?
Try working at a different bank? Soon enough you'll be a VP and life is marginally better then
It is definitely certain teams that make the feeling stronger than others. But i feel like i dont have enough leverage (still) to ask to be destaffed from the teams that make me feel this way. Maybe in another year or two.. *sigh*
