I think it depends on the particular enterprise. But I feel like either would be helpful in moving towards that goal.

Thanks a lot for the answers! I currently work at a large media company in analytics/big data. Would love to work at Google or Netflix in particular. In terms of position, my ideal would be a manager position in a team doing ML or other forms of advanced analytics, or data-driven marketing.

Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?

If you run into a situation where someone says a sexist/racist statement and then backpedals by saying "it was just a joke" in order to save face, have them explain it. This accomplishes two/three things: 1) makes them realize the reality of what they said and/or shuts them up and 2) allows more details you can tell HR. Don't stand for this shit. You guys deserve better and so does everyone else around you.
