That’s actually really good! So you should feel optimistic. It ebbs and flows.
Everyone tells you to customize your resume for the job, but I don't do it. My resume covers my experience and accomplishments and is not AI enhanced. The trick is to apply for jobs that align with your background. Once in a while I will put in a cover letter, but it is usually the same one for the role I want. I did land a job recently after a five month search. I did not go crazy by using AI or customization. I will readily admit I applied to many jobs. Again by focusing your search on the companies and jobs you are best qualified for you increase your chances of getting a job.
I've had 2 interviews in almost 6 months, I would posit that those first two weeks were the anomaly, though for your sake I pray for continued out reach.
Thank you. Just bizarre. They came out strong and then completely disappeared. As I said, I'm hoping the best for all of us 🙏🏻
Depends on how you are applying. I heard a friend was sending out "hundreds" of CV and not getting call backs. So I checked it out and he was just applying randomly to things that no one would hire him for. Like he would apply to an AIML engineer at Google while he has no big tech experience and his understanding of AIML is one YouTube course removed from a layperson's.
You have to be real with yourself, if you are sending CVs and NOT getting responses... You are sending CV to mismatched jobs.
I sent about 10-12 CVs in the last 3 years, I got 6 full loop interviews (all passed and reached offer stage). It's really about how accurately you position yourself vs the job you are applying to.
I think it goes even deeper than just experience. When I apply to jobs, I even match tooling and libraries. I would list specific experiences using Tensorflow on TPU on GCP as opposed to "3 years with large language models". But I think that is a very difficult match because most companies use different stacks. For example, I have a lot of Data / ML experience, but I don't apply to ALL Data / ML jobs - only the ones that specifically use Apache Beam / Spark and Tensorflow / PyTorch. That way I can showcase my work in a GitHub repo AND they know I can hit the ground running.
One day i will come here and say thank you God for finally letting me into this profession officially.

One day I will thank God when tech eventually kicks me out of this industry lol.
I don’t think you really know how insane the market is if you’ve had 4 interviews in 4 weeks and you’re already impatient.
Were those real interviews or recruiter phone screens?
It takes much more than “I’ve done this work before” to move forward. Do you have any idea how many candidates would meet that low threshold?
Ebbs and flows.
I'll have one week with 0 calls then another where everyone decides to reach out.
Go from hearing nothing from recruiters to 3 reaching out in the same day for a position.
Indeed, understood. It just seems so bizarre. Thanks for taking time to reply.
Securing interviews can be tough, especially in this market. Using PracHub to prepare with real interview questions and coding challenges might help boost your confidence and performance in future interviews.

Stop spamming
I am in 10 weeks in job market. Got none , even a interview. How do you apply? Through LinkedIn only?
I will have my second HR screening call this week. So 2 so far this week, 2 different companies. I believe the major factor is applying on company website whenever possible. It at least takes out the piece of the hundreds of other applications from the job boards. Hoping the best for all of us.
