Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

I have a fair amount of retail experience and have created a bowl to help fellow consultants who are interviewing in retail and CPG. My experience is across a wide range of topics (primarily non technical) and would love to help folks get their dream job. Would be awesome if others can join and contribute their knowledge.

Congratulations. I had my interviews last week.
First round for me was not overly technical. Behavioural questions were mostly around deal experience / how I approached certain situations (e.g disagreement in the team, convincing an audience)
Then the technical questions were around how I would determine the attractiveness of a potential acquisition and some interviewer questions like what some potential challenges that I see.
The next round is more technical. It included a highly technical case study where I needed to build a LBO model from scratch and write a CIM (including risks, hedging strategies, sensitivity analysis, and reworking the capital structure (in case the investment was not attractive based on the initial assumptions).
Still waiting on the results of my last interview.
I wouldn’t discount any technical prep but prepare for a worst case scenario.
The deal process is basically describing a CDD process at a high level.
Attractiveness of the:
- Market (e.g Size, Growth, Competition, Regulations, Trends, Segments)
- Target Company (Financials, Product, Management, UVP, Business Model, Potential),
- Strategic Aspects (Risks, Synergies, Opportunities)
Edit: Misread your question but basically describing a deal, the approach, findings and recommendations. You will get promoted to describe why you came to a certain conclusion or your decision making process

Congratulations. Is it a screening interview? Or actual one? Who is doing it? HR?
