I landed a phone interview for a graphic design position and I can’t afford to mess this up.

I did some research on the team through the company website and found the creative director (would most likely be working under her). But I have the interview with someone else I think in HR or the public relations department.

My question is: should I reach out to creative director on LinkedIn and take my chance to look better than other candidates? Or is this the worst decision I could make? Thx guys

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

How much % raise they usually offer for the one getting promoted from 601 —> 602?

Also, how much % raise one can ask for?

If some was promoted via requisition then how many months later can he/she get the next promotion?

Every time I upgrade gear, I save the old one “just in case”. I now have a mountain of dusty gear I can’t bring myself to get rid of. Does anyone else have trouble letting go?

For folks starting at BCG (experienced hires) in August, is there any indication as to what the first week(s) of orientation and training is like? I.e., remote vs in-person (if in-person, which city), etc.

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️

Do agencies rent spaces out in places like WeWork to give teams some autonomy away from the office?

Why do some art directors only really start looking at stuff at the 11th hour? Thus forcing people to stay late on the Friday of a 3 day weekend.
