I like to throw in pterodactyls in my data books every now and then just to see if my manager will notice.

I usually just throw in 20 ref errors good call

funny

I think the pterodactyls is genius. Ref errors, as pwc1 mentioned, can be tricky because it can be considered a true error. But if you’re reviewing a databook and you switch to a tab and see a pterodactyl staring you down into your soul, you’ll know damn well that’s not a mistake.

A dinosaur is a rather odd check, but effective as you noted.

Then he shares the databook with client and the both of you end up looking like an ass. You guys are not ready for promotion with this thinking

I work at a small, 3 lawyer firm. One of the lawyers is not barred in the state we practice. Because of this, the managing attorney has been having him draft motions and other legal documents and use my name and bar number and having me file them because I will have to appear in court for the matter. Is this normal? I am not provided time to review the materials before I file them so I end up working longer days because I am nervous to file something using my name and bar number.
