I need advice-I’m based in DC, I was in big law until I recently lateraled to midlaw 4 months ago. I love the firm, the people, the pace, and the area of work, but it’s based in Knoxville and I’m expected to move there by Sept. I have family there, but I’m sad to leave DC. In my 12 year career, this is probably the first time I’ve been happy at work. And now the federal agency that I work most closely with is hiring, do I pursue the federal job that will let me stay in DC or move as planned?

A few weeks ago I sent my resume in for a PCA posting. I’m qualified for the position yet never heard anything back. Not even a confirmation that my application was received. Is there anyway to reach out about it or should I just forget it and move on?

I am 25 F. Working in Aerospace & Military Defence Co as a Technical Buyer. I have 2 years expierence within administrative roles, 1 year in procurement. I got this role after interviewing for one below (purchasing assistant) the salary for that role was 21-24K. I was already on 24K so they offered me the same salary - however, the buyer role came up and they offered me this instead but same salary -24K.
