I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

The students were putting all incidences from their class in one document and having all students from the class who were willing to sign the document to confirm. I advised them not to do this because it may seem like they are attacking him. Based on similar incidences I have seen from students this year, their approach did not work.
I told them to purchase journals & log everything they have witnessed thus far with ONLY factual information: date, time, and what happened.
After that, they will continue documenting until they have a solid amount of evidence and repeated patterns to take to administration. They will log the experiences as they happen or right after class. They are not to share their journal with anyone else or speak about what they have written down.
I have no idea if this plan will work, but everything else they have tried has not. I cannot keep telling them to keep doing the same things and expecting a different result.
At the end of the day I think your duty is to the children and I think you did the right thing. If there is an issue I think it deserves to be addressed. School should be a safe place for kids and they obviously feel comforable talking to you. As long as nyou keep doing what is best for the kids, you are doing the right thing.
It's hard to say because administrations are so different. Personally, I think you did the right thing. It doesn't seem like you're actively working against this teacher but showing the kids how to deal with the problem in an alternative way. Am curious to hear how other teachers would have approached it
