Finding your voice in an office setting takes time. Particularly if you’re not a very vocal person. It’s even harder if you’re a woman. All you can do is start with baby steps.
I have started speaking up more in meetings. I used to think that nobody cared what I had to say but as it turns out, they actually do. People really appreciate when I do speak up so that has definitely boosted my confidence.
I have recently completed my masters in biotechnology from Salford University and I had 3 year experience in diagnostics laboratory where I performe multiple responsibilities and lab work like microbiology blood bank histopathology molecular techniques but here in UK still I can’t find a job I know how to do work every techniques but the way here I can’t understand apply multi jobs but no response being a new guy in UK this field is very difficult if any one guide me I thankful
Being the new guy takes time to build respect by others, even if your knowledge is spot on. I was able to solve a problem but was told “you’ve been here only six months” and my solution was dismissed until the supplier made the same conclusion. Still now acknowledgement, but I knew I was credible.
My confidence increases exponentially when the topic is on my forte. Of course I can’t be too specific because that would be going into national security.
