I really want a job in Starbucks and I’ve applied twice and I keep getting rejected because I’m 18 with a lack of experience. What can I do to make them hire me? I read that I should call and ask for an interview but that sounds too direct.

I know they take applications online, but go inside and talk to them as well. Ask if you can speak to a manager about working there and use that as an opportunity to show your personality.

Get references from people that were in charge of you even if it was volunteer work or a coach. They are mostly looking for someone who will show up and be punctual and consistent.

like

You literally HAVE to call directly or visit the store in person. Just because applications are always open does not mean the location has an open position. I had to visit in person 3 times to get my first job with Starbucks because the location was so busy that they hardly had time to properly go through applications. Bring direct is good, not a bad thing.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
