I want to find ways to build up team morale without resorting to clichés like a pizza party. What are some of your favorite ways to give back to employees?

I'd suggest making an anonymous survey and asking what would improve the work environment. I'm sure you'll receive amazing insights to continue.

We've taken half days to do fun bonding activities (escape rooms, TopGolf, bowling, etc).

When I've talked to my team about boosting morale before, everything seems to fall under three categories. Recognition, time, and money. Can you offer a Friday afternoon off? Surprise bonus? Have you implemented a strategy to make sure employees are shown appreciation?

You should talk to your team about this. I can almost guarantee you they'll have some suggestions for you

Everyone prioritizes different things when it comes to rewards/appreciation tokens. Check in with your employees and get a feel of what kind of compensation would help boost their morale

I hate to say it, but it is very hard to get everyone on the same page as far as fun activities to do together. Most people on my team like baseball so although it isn't very inventive, we all go to a game every six months or so. One time someone suggested a football game but hardly anyone was interested, so we just stick with what seems to work best.

Once in awhile we reserve the pool and spa for the evening and all the staff get to go have massages or swim for a few hours, it's very lowkey but also quite nice. I like the fact that we don't have to travel somewhere since we have the facilities right here on site

We try to make things fun and interesting because there is a very eclectic group of employees here. One time we just rented a bunch of laser guns and ran around the office like lunatics (when we were closed for business obviously), then the "winning team" got to decide what restaurant we would order food from. It was very lowkey but helped people relax. We already spend a lot of time together, might as well invest in those work relationships a bit here and there

I know most of the time it’s cause they are being nosy.

I am in the process of IVF due to my husband's male factor infertility. I am so grateful for the benefits that EY provides and wanted to know if there is any consideration for reevaluating those benefits? We know that IVF is incredibly expensive and for some of us, having children is a top priority. Does anyone know where or how we can petition for enhanced or shared benefits? I have ideas.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
