Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

Program Manager L3 salary in HCOL?
About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

L5 always has bonus. This is a strong offer in this market. L5 TC cap is mid 300s, and 7 YoE is on the lower end of L5

Congrats! This is a strong offer.
Do you mean sign on bonus? You can always ask.
For a L5 Non-tech PgM role, and it sounds like you’re in a Tier 2 location (non - SF/NY), correct me if I misread, I think it’s a strong offer in the current market. If you’re in a Tier 1 location (as in, you’re located in/near SF/NY), it’s an ok offer with room to negotiate at least 10% more.
For a sign-on bonus, for me, it was the same as what the recruiter told you. I decided to forgo the sign-on bonus for additional equity (I was able to negotiate a slightly bigger equity package).
Always negotiate. Once they say it’s the “best and final offer”, kindly and polity push again for a tiny bit more (or not, up to you).
Congrats on the offer! 🎉
OP - out of curiosity, what’s your Microsoft Level?
Thanks for the input, glad to hear this is competitive. I'm currently a 64 at MSFT.
I'll try to negotiate for at least some sign-on or more equity. I did already ask this since I would be giving up some performance bonus but got told no. Do you mind sharing how you were able to negotiate up on equity?
Is this Chicago or LA?
