Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

If you already accepted, you better be okay with completely burning every bridge there (and wherever they go next) if you decide not to leave. I don’t really believe you could have gotten all the way to accepting a job offer if you merely had too much time to relax at your current job. There’s gotta be more than you were looking to leave behind than a light workload.
Rescinding a job offer acceptance there’s no grounds for a burnt bridge in my opinion.
A letter of agreement is not a contract and I never count on someone as a hire until they have successfully quit their current job.
