I recently joined HCL. The project team raised the Laptop request for me and the IT team has allocated the Laptop for me but how do I raise the request to deliver it to my home. Someone please help as I cannot go and collect the laptop. When will they provide the ID for new joiners how to raise the request ?

Junior partner at a specialist boutique consulting firm (compete w/ MBB primarily in our verticals) with prior experience in PE on both deals and ops side, and corp dev. My career here is pretty stable and money is good enough without killing myself (500k+ cash) but I miss being an investor vs an advisor. Is there any path back to GE/PE at this stage? My gut says no unless it's a firm where I have a client relationship and I get lucky but hard to broach the subject given dynamics. Any advice?

I have been offered a lateral move within my company to a role I (believe) I will be more interested in that will suit my skills more. However, I’ve now been offered a promotion in my existing Role, and have heard that this is a pretty big deal and almost fast track to Director. Is there a way to bypass the promotion policy of not being able to apply for jobs in 2 or more levels above your current level? Especially, if one joined the company at lowest level with over 8 years experience? Reason was, I took a career break for 6 years and to maximise my chance of getting back into the industry, I applied for a role I was almost guaranteed to get.
