I recently lost my job and am looking for my next role in IT/customer support.
I have 10+ years of experience in technical support (Windows, Microsoft 365, remote troubleshooting) and I focus on helping users solve problems quickly and clearly.
I also have Cerebral Palsy.
Honest question: would you still consider a candidate like me based on skills and experience first, or does a disability change that decision before interview?

I don't believe your disability should even be a factor. Your CAPabilities are ALL that should matter. So yes I would hire you.
Let's get our own service desk thing going lol

I'm not a hiring manager, but your experience and skills are what matter most.

That being said, tech support is a strange market. With 15 years of experience, I needed about half a year to get a decent offer after a layoff. 2 months into the new job, I got 2 better offers from different companies.

I'm no hiring manager or team leader but I would still consider you. That said, I don't think hiring managers operate the same way.

Personally I don't care about disabilities so long as the person can do the job. Furthermore, there are laws protecting people with disabilities against discrimination. I wouldn't even mention it. Focus on demonstrating your skill competency.

Anyone have any advice or insight on interviewing for a GS General Attorney position? I’m really excited and working to prepare for an interview I’ve been offered. It’s 3 part, on one day. 2 one on one interviews and a panel interview. For reference, it’s a position in an agency that’s involved in both trade and national security. I’m a litigation junior associate in private practice now, but have a long academic background in international trade, policy, and security.

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.
