I spent the day debugging something that was not technically my responsibility, but I felt guilty leaving it broken. By the end of the day I had fixed it, but my own work slipped. Do you prioritise being helpful or protecting your workload?

It depends on visibility. If your manager sees and appreciates the help, keep doing it. If it's invisible work that just makes you look slow on your own stuff, protect your time.

I am accidentally too helpful, which feels productive but at the end of the day I've still got the never ending to do list.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?
