I submitted my resume to a batch posting for the State Department last year and have an interview on Monday. The position is a GS-13 in the Office of Foreign Assistance (F). I've been preparing but was looking to get some broad thoughts from others on:
a.) Things to do/not to do the interview that you would/wouldn't normally do in a private sector interview
b.) General thoughts on F, the State Department, and flipping to the GS side (for mobility, progression, pay, etc.)

Hi! I have a very demanding role as a comms director, but still make time to volunteer on the side for some women's organizations I am proud to support. Lately though, the work has been piling up and it's almost as if I have two full-time gigs. I've brought this up as graciously as possible with the orgs, but sometimes I feel I'm being guilted into taking on more work. Best etiquette in this situation? How competitive are promotions at Deloitte GPS?

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.
