You need to establish proof of the set-up
Keep all digital correspondence where you feel you’re being set up. Keep a written journal of times, dates, names, and what was said.
You may want to consult an employment attorney. Consultations are usually free. Wishing you luck.
Document all of it. Dates, quotes, anything. Just a little word doc on the side.

Get your CV together asap, get it out there and take sick leave if needed. The market is now picking up.
AI is blocking us all and no one is getting a response! Emplouer criteria is too strict and talk of needing to upskill. The recruiter contracting desks are full. This is across all sectors not just agency.
I’m so sorry, this is such a nightmare feeling I am familiar with. The only option is to work hard enough to not get PIP’d or fired, and secretly start looking EVERY DAY! Your intense job hunt begins now.
1) start backing up your files.
2) determine the specifics of what you believe is setting you up for failure. E.g. what are the issues
3) start trying to resolve the issues and keep documentation proving you’re doing so.
Depending on where the issues are coming from, add someone with a higher title into the loop to put some fire under their asses and help show proof
4) no improvement? Go to your manager showing how you’ve tried to resolve and ask if they have a suggestion on how to best resolve
Save as much as you can, reach into your network (or rebuild it), and try to take advantage of any certifications VML / WPP might offer to show you’re keeping your skills market relevant.
IMO, training is one of the best ways to get attention on LinkedIn.
