PwC sends newly promoted senior associates to a Miraval resort. There are three of them in the US, highly recommend!
Amazing food and classes, the spa is 10/10 as well.
I’ve heard amazing things about the Miraval resorts. Need to pull the trigger and go myself!
Last year, I went to Naia Resort & Spa in Placencia, Belize, and it was a truly magical experience. It's peaceful, beautiful, and the people are the best!!
Wow!!! I looked this one up, and it looks simply magical! Thanks for this recommendation. :)
Where are you from, OP? Golden Door in California is my personal favorite. The resort in the state's southern region has a Japanese aesthetic. The all-inclusive trip includes all meals, a daily massage, private training sessions, a skin examination and treatment, and a customized take-home fitness program. You can wander through the orchard, swim in the pool, or stroll through the labyrinths during your free time.
I'm from North Carolina! I haven't spent a lot of time on the west coast but I think I would like it. That sounds really nice!
If you're in for a trip, go to Sensei Lanai in Hawaii and try out their Optimal Wellbeing Program for One. It's a five-night structured program that includes yoga, meditation, customized nutrition and fitness tests, thermal body mapping, and escorted hikes.
Go to Willow's Lodge in Woodinville, Washington. A lot of the overnight packages for these cabin-style accommodations include wine, meals, and spa treatments.
Stanglwirt Green Spa Resort, Austria. it gives off Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit vibe. I've been to Euphoria Retreat, Greece too. Euphoria's "Feel Alive Again" program aims to relieve guests of pent-up negativity through a combination of activities such as laughter yoga, breathwork and music. The resort says these activities are designed to coax out unconscious thoughts and feelings to cleanse the mind.
I second Software Dev Eng.1. Stanglwurt Green Spa Resort in Austria is one of the best wellness retreat resort around the world. Everything is organic and natural, from the food to their services.
A friend and her husband went to Joali Being in Maldives for the first part of their honeymoon. She documented everything and showed us everything. The experience was extraordinary according to them.
Try Kamalaya or Amanpuri. Both are located in Thailand. Me and my husband have been planning to go here on the first quarter of the new year.
Oh man. I think I need an entire week at a wellness retreat. This year has been so exhausting I think I deserve this.
Been wanting to experience Fivelements ever since I first saw a post on instagram. It's in Bali, Indonesia. Oh and I've read Balinese Healers in this resort practice rituals and therapies that have been passed along from generations.
Wow! Thanks for all of the amazing responses, y'all! Looks like I have lots to choose from....
Canyon Ranch in Woodside California. It's new and you are gonna love it there! Have fun
Has anyone suggested Amangiri yet? If not, you should definitely try it out. I went there just this year and I got my money's worth. Excited for you!
There are ones in Thailand. Stayed there for a month. I know it’s cliche but it was life changing, a month of sleep, exercise, healthy food and relaxation forced me to re-examine my life and make big changes to how I was living.
Kalani in Hawaii is a fantastic place to start that endeavor and will benefit me with numerous insightful encounters. I'll also visit Sedona for its natural beauty. Eat pray love!
Does anyone who attended one of these retreats feel like they would do it on an ongoing basis? Was there any community or group aspect to the activities you engaged in?
