The good news is that you have a lot of time in front of you and you recognize the need to save. That’s great. Set a budget, stick to it and pay yourself first.
Before exploring side jobs, I would suggest to really analyze your spendings, get on a written budget and most importantly stick to it.
You’ll really feel like you got a raise after gaining control of how your money is flowing.
Honestly your side jobs are a short term fix to a long term issue. Depending on your salary (which is suspect is decent since you are in consulting) your part time job might bring in extra funds month to month, but year end impact to your taxes might leave you owing more money. I usually make an extra 5-8k a year with my part time jobs and usually it’s zeroed out at end of year taxes so I would focus on building a better budget to live on first and then see if you need additional income still
