I was a Director of HR for 1 year before being laid off due to company restructuring. Previous to that had 10+ years of recruiting experience, including 3 years of campus recruiting in financial services. Would it look poorly for me to return to Campus Recruiting instead of looking for generalist HR leadership work? Most of my relevant experience is in recruiting and I have had the highest level of responsive thus far from companies looking for Early Talent recruiters.

Any advice for those laid off? Such a tough job market :(

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?
