Absolutely not. They already played their hand as seeing you as expendable when they laid you off. Even if the benefits were good, it's not a stable situation as they already got rid of your position once and they are, in your words, just coming out of or are in dire straits.
Second this. Keep that company in your rearview mirror. The next time they have layoffs, you'll be a target again due to lack of seniority. It's happened to me!
