Next week I’m having my first lateral interview as a junior associate. I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. I am first year and I got my written reviews today. A partner wrote that I need to be more detail oriented and cited a time I screwed something up for a production. I did screw something up but I owned up to it right away and did everything to fix the issue. It was also in my first few months of practice and I had never made a production before and I was the only associate on the case. How should I handle this during my annual review?

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected.
