I was once told to write a script "as if Shakespeare worked in marketing." I gave it a go... but the feedback said it was "too wordy." Well Shakespeare was wordy... What is the most impossible style mash-up you have been asked to do?

What were you supposed to do with that note anyway! Wow. I don't think I have anything as bad as that.

🙄 whoever gave you that directive should have been fired. This is the kind of instruction you give Chat GPT, not a real human being. I can't recall anything quite this ludicrous, but the most vexing instructions are all similarly vague in nature. Give precise guidelines or none at all.

They want Shakespeare’s name but a Buzzfeed word count. Just throw in “thou” and call it a day.

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

I see this question about how to display side projects often, so putting this out there for anyone who might find it useful:

There’s no such thing as side projects, in my eyes. Every project is an opportunity to display your creativity, and the few you’re most proud of make it to your book. Generally, the consensus these days is that we want our advertising to not look/feel like advertising. So, why should you be concerned to separate what was and wasn’t “advertising?”

The argument that climate change is not man-made has been disproven by science over and over again, yet many people believe that the global crisis is either not real, not of our making, or both, in part because the news media deliberately chooses not to talk about it because it doesn't sell enough.

"Don't Look Up" is as real as it can be.

Hello, I wanted to mention that I work as a sports commentator, specifically about soccer. I used to be one of the main journalists for Spanish media, but since I moved to Miami I feel the general passion for soccer is very different 🥲 The energy and commitment are not even close to what I felt in Spain, where some businesses would close if the match was too important. I hope this nostalgia goes away soon.
