Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I would try to check online to see if it sounds like they typically do sign-on bonuses. I think a lot of companies have not only lowered pay for many jobs but have done away with perks like sign-on bonuses. I'd hate for someone else to lose an offer for asking for something that used to be commonplace (because I've heard of more than a few people losing offers for even negotiating which is ridiculous).

Agree with this!!
I make around the same amount and I've never gotten a sign on bonus. I think it really depends on the company and what they are willing to give you. It's hard for us to say though, that would need to come from the company directly.
I agree with Deloitte 1. I would see if that is even something they do because they may not give a sign-on bonus. It doesn't hurt to ask but if they don't typically do them I wouldn't ask for too much.
