I’m on my first big freelance project and could use some help. I was asked to estimate the number of days on project with limited information, but once I got into it, the bigger scope was revealed. This, along with delays from the client means it’s taking much longer to complete.
How do you navigate this type of situation?

I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.

I’m in my 4th year at a small plaintiffs’ firm. Past two years I’ve received meager raises (5k) and terrible bonuses (3k). My boss prides himself on allowing me to gain experience so I have more courtroom experience than most attorneys with twice the experience. As I’ve applied for other firms, I’ve been denied interviews based on how my boss is perceived in the community. I’ve gathered professional references from opposing attorneys and other attorneys we work with but still can’t land. Help

If I didn’t have to take the MPRE previously but looking to waive into DC, when do I need to take the MPRE? Prior to applying or can I apply and submit my score following submission of my application to get the background investigation going?

I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. In contrast, my legal argument section is generally without edits. For context, first defense lit job post appellate clerkship. Is this normal?? I am concerned with fulfilling billable hours requirement. I’m required to hit 2100 hours yearly and I’m at ~1,500 hours and I think I’ll hit 150-180hours this month. What will happen if I don’t hit my targeted amount by the end of my year.
