I probably would not have waited over 20 minutes, personally. I'm of the opinion that, if they don't respect you as an applicant, they won't respect you as an employee.
It's all up to you. If I still had a job or at least other interviews scheduled, I'd most likely bounce after 30 minutes. With no other options, I'd stay as long as I needed to to complete the interview unless I really needed to leave.
It depends entirely on how bad you need the job. Back when it was easier to find work, 20 minutes would have been my absolute max unless they had kept me updated. In the current economy though, I probably would have waited an hour as well. There aren't enough opportunities out there to be passing one up.
