This is wonderful and affirming but doesn’t excuse a President who looks at a Klan rally and says “there are good people on both sides”.
Take one isolated example of something bad, and extrapolate it to discredit or invalidate and entire idea or hypothesis. It’s populism 1.0.1, it works because the brain is wired to respond to fear of small things in a much bigger way. And it’s also a clear demonstration of not being able to think rationally. If you were a consultant, you’d be a very bad one
Thanks OP. Overall, our country would be better off if we all listened more, talked less, and were slower to form opinions. Me included. This was a good reminder.

The idea of polarization going too far is sensible, but the image makes it seem like opposing positions have equally valid, equally accurate viewpoints. That is often not the case in the real world.
BCG1, what you describe has a name, it’s called fascism. It’s been tried already, and it sucks. I truly wish you don’t have to experience it ever. As for your “defending our culture”, white privilege, subjugation of people of color and exploitation of immigrants is not “culture”, doesn’t matter how much you want to protect it. It’s history, it happened, it’s a fact we have to live with, but it doesn’t make it acceptable, not even a bit.
So you are a centrist? 😄
This had nothing do with how you interpret reality you can see multiple perspectives and still not be a "centrist" - centrism itself is relative

This frames things like the issues are just mirror images of each other, which they aren't.
There is no mirror in the OP. It is demonstrating how there can be multiple perspectives for a single issue
This is a good overall imagery. HOWEVER, the problem is when the folks who are able to grasp reality pretend the other view doesn’t exist and only promote their own views as the only truth anyway.
