Is it true that 1/3 of ASU has a STD

JPMC1:
I started respecting the current administration a lot after I started working for the university in a finance-related role. They’re working all the time to achieve the mission, not just by letting them in, but also offer support financially and academically so thy can actually graduate.
The amount of support that goes to labs that anyone can just walk into and do whatever they want, without approval is crazy.
I really respect what the university is doing even if it’s negatively affecting the ranking and reputation
Honestly the biggest hurdle is going to be that F1 Visa. Overall I think it looks good!
Are you searching for FT role?
BC1: Yes
Ok, my strength is not resume reviews but just wanted to say network, network, network. Still time to secure a role.
I feel like I haven’t seen Personal interests on a resume in over a decade and even then they made me cringe. No hiring manager cares that you like to fish.

Bryan: Networking is definitely great but many people I networked with tells me their teams stopped sponsoring since Covid started.
I still do it because it’s helpful outside of finding a job but it’s definitely not as helpful to secure one

I have been told by many career advisors and by anyone I asked to review my resume to add it to humanize my resume. Do you think I should remove it?

JPMC1:
It’s definitely a huge hurdle. I totally understand why it’s an issue for firms to hire f1 but hopefully I will find something.
Thank you for your response!
I understand I’m F1 as well but honestly networking is all that’s been helping me. Also leverage getting recommendations from alum or connections. I’d recommend Goldman Sachs. Ik someone who joined and got their H1B this year and they are non-stem. Also check EY.
Overall a strong resume. The interests section isn't really a common inclusion anymore though.
Disagree keep the interest sections - nobody wants to hire a robot
