For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. Anyone every have an issue with an agency paying you an hourly, and not being upfront about the hours prospected per day... until your last day, and then have an issue when the invoice is sent in?

Watch out for Publicis—specifically Digitas. After a few weeks there, and a couple of quiet days (client is taking their time w/comments, etc) I was told that even though I was booked for that short week, I was only going to get paid for time actually worked—the 3 daily status meetings. Yes, that’s correct. 24 hours waiting patiently for the client comments and they’re paying me for 3 hours.
