If you follow up a few times and don’t get a reply, it’s a ‘no.’
Don’t take it personally though there are a lot of reasons why they aren’t hiring.
They might not have even looked at your book though. They may have their inbox set to filter emails from prospectives to a separate folder. You can check the analytics on your website to see where the IP addresses are coming from. I sent out a mass of hi-hey-hello emails to recruiters about a week ago. Of the dozen or so agencies I contacted, the traffic history tells me maybe 6 have looked at my work thus far.
It’s also just January. A lot of places haven’t finished re-scoping their budgets yet.
