Normally SC for 2-4 years. There’s no such thing as set levels (although ppl tend to say first year or second year when they introduce themselves but I’m not sure why). Up or out still applies in federal. However, the requirements to move to manager are higher than in commercial. SCs do M work, Ms do SM work. This is actually so we can be competitive with price since our competitors are a lot cheaper than us. We can staff SCs in M roles and be competitive
Honestly probably about 5% more and another 5% at promotion. You’re already high for a SC1 in fed
How many SC levels are there in fed?
And by promotion I mean promotion to manager not another SC level.
Ran out of space on the initial post. Thanks!
For fed promotion to M probably puts you are 125-130k
Cool. I’m told bonus for SC caps at 19%. What’s the bonus cap for M?
No clue what it is for fed since I am in commercial
Not sure for M but the SC bonus can be a little higher than 19% although with the new RPM model they don’t disclose
And I’ve seen SCs in Fed for 3-4 years at SC. They tend to do more M work as SCs while staying down a level longer. I think the lack of ‘up or out’ has to do with being able to bill cheaper resources
