No! I think the rule is they can’t reach out to you aka “no poaching other talent.” Once you get to the final stages of the interview though, you might have to go through this weird conversation where you let your current agency know you’re in talks with another agency and “it’s going well”. And then their HR will reach out to your HR. It’s odd but I had to do it when I moved within IPG.
Ugh yeah, hopefully that offer formally reaches me after I say I am leaving. Lotta horror stories
I think it depends on the network/agency. You might want to chat with HR before it's too late and let them know you are trying to move within the network because you're not happy where you are. That might cover your back just in case there are layoffs coming.
I know someone on my brand who was "laid off" because it was discovered that she was applying to other jobs within the network. She was really good at her job and overall a smart person, so it could not have been a performance issue or budget issue.
