I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. What’s the bar of passing the first round at McKinsey like? if I didn’t do well in the same part of a cases for both interviews (ie reading graphs for high level insights and implications) would that be even worse than having different performance across other areas (ie not doing well in A on case 1 but not doing well in B on case 2)?
