Short story, the Marriot card would only be better over the CSR if you plan to spend all your points in Marriot hotels. CSR in the other hand gives you flexibility to spend on flights too

I agree, it’s not a bad card to have given how much we stay at Marriotts. The 15 elite nights saved my titanium status last year from an end of year project slowdown, and 100k points is nothing to sneeze at either

Depends on where and how you want your points. I used to use a Boundless for hotels and the CSR for everything else. I've since moved to using the CSR for everything for the reasons BCG1 explained.
If I got the CSR welcome bonus within the last year, can I still get the Marriott card welcome bonus?
