If you are currently an agency sales manager and you are moved to agency operations manager- both positions the agency has never had before- is that a lateral move? I.e. don’t expect to make as much more more? Or should recognize that you have successfully paved the way for the next as sales manager and made the agency successful enough to have both positions. Therefore be proud of that accomplishment?

Currently unemployed, and looking at a job offer of around 62k base, small firm. Not my preferred choice but this is the first offer in three months. They also took a month to get me the offer with corona and internal restructuring. Two questions:

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
