If you could banish one piece of corporate jargon to the fiery pits of advertising hell, what would it be? Mine is 'circle back'. I hate just hearing the two words and to make things worse, it always means I have to meet these people again! What's yours? Bonus points for creative alternatives!

Manage up. That one was a real brain breaker. “So you want me to astral project myself into meetings I’m not included on and read thoughts leaders have not and will not share in order to anticipate and address problems I am neither compensated nor cleared to actually solve?” How does that work?

Do you really want me to post my running list?

Editors, I'd love your input on AP Stylebook options. I want the new 57th edition and have come to the painful conclusion that it's probably time to abandon the hard copy, as much as I love a spiral bound guide with an index. :-(

I'm trying to decide between the cloud-based (online) subscription and the Kindle e-book version. My mind tells me to buy the former, but I wonder if anyone is using the e-book and sees an advantage in it, other than being able to use it offline.

It's rare nowadays that I'm working and don't have wi-fi access. Is there any reason I shouldn't just go with the online subscription? Thanks!

Am I particularly uptight, or is writing meant to be done alone, without a partner talking to you? With past partners, we chat through script notes and then I go off to execute. Current partner likes to sit and chat as I write. To me, writing is crafting a conversation. So I can’t talk to you and simultaneously talk to this audience. Of course I can just say “I’m gonna go write.” But since we’re both CD level, I’m like…is this his first rodeo? Maybe other writers are different though.
