If you could start your career all over again, what would you want to pursue instead?

That's something I really do think about now and then. I love watching documentaries about archeology, and I sometimes wish I'd pursued that instead of taking business classes in college. But, the businesses classes were easier and had the potential to make money and that's how I was thinking as a teenager.

It's hard to say, because I like where I am, but I suppose I would consider a more technical or skilled trade. People often underestimate the stability and profitability of those roles. No performance reviews, real results, and huge demand.

I would stay in the finance industry, but I would have never stopped going to school. Would have loved to become an advisor and continue working my way up the ladder, especially having tuition reimbursement options. But comfort is the silent killer of dreams.

I would try to push my self to become an engineer. Or invest my time into some kind of mathematical career. I hate math but those people make a lot of money.

I wish I could run my own business.

Has anyone ever heard of this type of real estate private equity fund structure:

-Multiple investors that can be onboarded anytime
-Multiple investments that investors can determine whether or not they want to invest in

-Ability for the Sponsor/Fund to invest directly, indirectly and in equity, debt, Pref, etc.
To me this seems extremely cumbersome and would require multiple classes of (cont’d)

How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). If I am looking to leave my company, considering all of these things, how do I do it in the least awkward, most professional way possible? I want to put in at least a two week notice, but will continuing my work after that be weird?

Hi Fishes,
Asking for someone else from a different company, if the company’s asset fails to work and we cannot work. Does the company cut leaves? And is it the employees responsibility to get the asset?

Why do leaders keep comparing how “good”the new staff/seniors have it because they make more money starting out then they did and working 55 hours is better than the 70-80 hours they used to work? Instead they should compare what options they have available to them and what their goals are.

I’ve only slept with one person, my wife. I have not openly shared this with anyone because there’s a stigma that I “settled” or I don’t have numbers on the board like a man should. I’m not overly religious, so that was never a driver in the equation. I admit, I do think about the “what if” every once in awhile but I’m honestly getting to the age where I feel I’m beyond my prime anyhow.
