Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?
NOatly . That’s all I have to say.

In terms of tips I’d say just mention that you are interviewing with multiple companies and feedback has been positive and you’ve been advancing in their processes but nothing immediately imminent. On the other side, if MSFT is really what you want to do then try to delay some of the advanced discussions with the other company either through the guise of negotiations or questions that you may have on your end which can usually buy you a few weeks. Last bit of advice would be if you run out of leeway and accept you could ask for a later start date to give yourself time to close out the process. Worst case scenario is you ultimately renege which may burn a bridge but may not matter all that much if MSFT is really the end goal

I’ve only had negative experiences with this type of situations in Big Tech since their processes are so long (I.e. 4 months+ for my current role). Last time I tried mentioning this during my HR screen and just said I had completed my final round and was expecting an offer and was promptly ghosted after HR seemed very positive in my discussion.
Yeah mind expanding on the 4 months comment?

They will not really.
You can only interview during a super day and they won’t create a new super day just for you.
Best they can do is schedule you for the earliest super day after you pass the screening
Agree ^
What was the role?
Data scientist is the Microsoft role
Can anyone provide some tips on how to prepare for super day interviews?
