I think it mainly depends on your choices post-consulting.
McK will give you the (obviously) brand in the resume, although I'd be careful if you ever get the promotion for AP - I've heard that is generally considered best to either leave as an EM or stick around to become partner.
A&M looks like a great place to work (although PEPI hours are harder), won't give you that much exit opps to traditional industries but might help you if you ever want to go for PE shops
I guess the issue with AP is as it is elsewhere - when you're a Principal, you're just too in between/otw to Partner, so industry will find you an awkward fit.
Thanks, your thinking here makes sense
What do you want to do post consulting career?
@BCG Yeah, had the same reaction; was the only reason I bothered to get into the process at the outset, as losing tenure at this stage is something nice to avoid
Generally agree w your logic as well... Leaning to M but just trying to get out of my head, thanks!
Hands down McK. I am from A&M. You can always come to A&M from McK but hard other way around. Talk about experience, exit ops etc..
Happy to chat.
