If you interview for an auto role as a BI adjuster, is that all you’ll be responsible for, does a property damage adjuster handle claims for vehicle damages? I’m interviewing for my first adjuster roles, this one, and a disability leave role and trying to weigh my options. Both roles are within the same company.

I would assume it’s similar at most companies, but I can only speak to my experience at Allstate. As a BI adjuster, you handle only bodily injury claims, and more severe injuries may be transferred to a different adjuster. Property claim adjusters don’t handle vehicle damage claims, they are handling only property damage claims.

Depends on the volume of BI claims and number of adjusters. Knowing about her area can provide flexibility if needed.

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?
