Bain & Company My 13 YO is taking Career and Tech. She is dead set on diving for Michigan. What are her chances of getting hired from MBB with a degree from UM? Or would she need her MBA first? Is a Michigan degree good enough to get you into a top MBA program?

Not go to B school if I was already at MBB
What does B stand for? Bhole ?
Sponsorship is the way to go. Wouldn’t have gone after working at McK if they weren’t paying for it.
Make some long shot investments in super cheap stocks to see if I could offset the costs. A friend of mine did this and enough popped where he was able to pay for his MBA. One of them was $FIZZ (La Croix).
Also, I would worry less about saving pre-school. Student loans are relatively cheap debt vehicles and easy to get. I refinanced with Earnest post-MBA for an even lower rate. I was able to buy a house right after graduation because I had savings still and I’m glad I didn’t spend it all on school. My monthly payment is reasonable and I’ll aggressively pay it off
If I had to do it again I’d do 3 years at a top company, do a top MBA and then come in. You come in as somebody with 4 yrs exp and have an MBA to fall back on. This comes from a high performer first four years
How does the McKinsey sponsorship work?
I’d just invest in bitcoin
@mck I don’t want to do a sponsorship because I see it as a career pivot (planning to do a dual degree program), and pivoting would be a lot harder after another 2 years at Bain compared to being recruited while in school
I’d honestly look at a condo or house. Pay it now living there and rent while in school and then sell. Roll proceeds into a new place when you buy a new house.
