Chicago. Same reasons as above + love lake Michigan, lots of internship and job opportunities, major airport, relatively affordable compared to other large cities like NYC & LA, the Midwest is easily accessible from both coasts if you have family in other states, good overall exposure to life without being isolated and brainwashed like all the Texas cities
I like having 4 seasons, even if the winter does suck. The cold weather is really the only downside to Chicago. I don’t feel disconnected from everywhere else
DMV. Decent Muslim community. Large mosques. Good schooling system (Islamic and Private / Public). Diverse group of people. A lot of halal restaurants. Best falooda!
I am in Toronto.
I like my life in the greater Toronto area in Canada. Mosques, halal food and much more is available everywhere. I prefer Canada (although current deep freeze is something I am not so fond of). We may not earn as much as the US for the same role, I like the community and culture. I have access to many mosques close to me and very multicultural. There are some great schools and universities in Toronto and nearby cities.
Houston. Huge community, good support. Good halal options and plenty of mosques.
What is the demographic of the Muslims?
How is the reception by the non-Muslim community? I hear crazy shit going down near Dallas (Plano, Texas).
I am surprised no one mentioned Cali, Florida or Pacific North West.
