Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

At that level, most in house roles prefer prior in house experience. Not to say this never happens - it probably happens the most for M&A and CapM where they want specialized biglaw experience. Similar for lit, but that's just because there's very few lit roles to begin with. But for most other roles, they want direct in house experience and they know they can probably get it in this market.
100%. For in-house, Biglaw experience has a substantial drop in value after 6 years relative to having moved in-house already
They are filling a particular role. The budget for that role is the budget. The fact that you have 1 or 2 more years of experience at the law firm is not particularly relevant.
I’d assume it would be a similar role, but maybe you could try to negotiate for a higher salary given where you are coming from as a 7th year (vs a 5th year). Maybe it’s worth $10k in salary while in-house. But that also depends on how the in-house organization compensates employees (low base and high bonus or decent base and smaller bonus).
There are funds that will pay a base of like $100k - $150k throughout the year, but then bonus (either one shot or multiple bonuses throughout the year) could get you in the high six figures.
Yes, but as others have mentioned you can negotiate a higher salary on the salary band.
