I would think you'd be okay. During covid my 2 of my neighbors worked at the same structural engineering firm. One got laid of and one didn't. The one who didn't was paid above market value but worked longer hours and I'd assume better as well
Short answer, no.
Long answer, it depends on where you fit within your organization.
Example. I’m a Sr. Manager in my current organization and am just north of midpoint on the a pay bands for my role and org. A few months ago I decided to see what else is out there. For a similar TC and R&R a couple places would have had to bring me in as a Sr. Director and a well paid one at that.
Some companies just pay a lot and then expect a lot.
Sounds like you're an invaluable piece and if everyone around you relies on you for one thing or another, I don't think you have too much to worry about.
Don't think they'd wanna restructure management in this case. But then again, I don't know how many people on your team they're planning on cutting. You sound too senior/important to be laid off.
By the way you've worded this, it sounds like you're an indispensable member of the team. I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you. They're more likely to lay off those below you.
I don't think you should be worried about it. Companies will always try to keep top performers because they are hard to replace.
I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. You're more likely an asset to the company with that level of performance. You're probably the last one out.
No, I would think they would rather replace the lower performer and train new people than replace a high performer and receive a mediocre performer at best after training them
I don't think that would be your concern. But I get where you are coming from. Just remember that you deserve your pay so there's nothing to worry about.
