Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

Take it and figure out how to do the job once you’re there, like basically everyone else in advertising is doing.
Chief
Maybe it’s Señor Strategist.
And that’s why you’re a creative director ;)
Most jobs aren’t Rocket Science lol, and they wouldn’t offer you the job if they didn’t think you couldn’t do it
What’s the exact position title? There are plenty of roles in advertising with Senior in the title that aren’t actual senior roles (ie - Sr AE)
They might be offering you a higher title to get talent at a lower rate and charge clients more. Depending on where you will likely be a lot more responsibility and high expectations as a senior strategist but you may be able to fake it. What are they offering and what’s the city if you don’t mind me asking?
Senior strategist has senior in the title but it's just the next step up above strategist and before director. Don't worry too much, agency titles are inflated across the board (it lets you charge clients at higher rates.)
Take it!
Sounds like a great opp but don’t be too intimidated. Plenty of agencies (and companies) out there use big titles so they can charge more and make clients feel better.
Hey yeah take it and don’t look back! Focus on just doing your best and at the same time feeling good and proud about the work you put forward. Trust yourself!!
People start successful agencies in their teens and early 20’s nowadays, I think you’ll be fine
Take it, and make sure you dress the part.
Like the part.
I had a similar thing happen, I went straight from a AAE to laid off to getting an SAE role. I did way better as an SAE anyway because I do well with higher level work. About to get promoted to AM so I say go for it.
do it!!! youll still have people you can learn from while alao learning to manage others!!!!!!
Fake it till you make it! You’ll figure it out! Congrats
Take it, trust the skills that got you there. There will be things to learn but it’s ok. Keep moving up and believe in your worth. Don’t let anyone else tell you how much you should get.
Congrats on your new job!!
What is the $35k increase percentage compared to what you’re making?
Do it!! I’m 23, just got promoted to a senior position. I had some imposter syndrome but if they offer you that job it means they believe you’re capable and worthy! You’ll fall into lock step w it soon enough.
